ADDING a new dimension to its multimedia coverage of the upcoming May elections, INQUIRER.net has unveiled the Eleksyon 2007 podcast, with senatorial bet Aquilino Pimentel III making history as the first guest in what will become a regular feature of the site.

FIRST TIME VOTERS -- Lawyer Aquilino Pimentel III stresses the importance of electing candidates for political posts on the basis of their individual merits and qualifications.  Pimentel spoke before the participants in the Youth and Student Leaders Conference held at the Senate building as part of the First-Time Voters’ Project.

LONE MINDANAO BET - Lawyer Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel vows to champion pro-people causes as he files his certificate of candidacy for senator under the United Opposition ticket representing PDP-Laban and Mindanao. Koko’s platform includes strengthening of local autonomy, giving Mindanao its equitable share of national wealth and upgrading of science education. Accompanying Koko during the occasion were (left to right): his father, Sen. Aquilino Q. Pimentel, Jr. (PDP-Laban chairman), Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay (PDP-Laban president), Sen. Serge Osmeña III, Laguna Vice-Governor Edwin Olivarez, former Presidential Adviser on Youth Amina Rasul, Sen.
